Cluster Level Sports Competition- August 2011

As usual our students bagged many prizes at the Cluster Level Sports Meet for Primary School Children organized by Dept. of Public Instruction- Bangalore South Zone between 1 August and 2 August. The Prizes are

Our girls team also won II place in Taluk Level Sports Meet in Badminton. We congratulate all the winners and Shri Nagaraj, who prepared them for all these events.

Vegetable Fest-2011

All the students relished delicious fruit and vegetable salads prepared and served by their friends and teachers on Friday, 15 June. Ms. Kavita, the science teacher briefed on nutritional values of each fruit and veggie. It was an initiative to encourage healthy eating habits.

Hurray! We are all back.

The school reopened on 30 May 2011. The total strength of the school has risen to 543 with 112 new students. The total number of teaching staff has increased to  36 including Yoga and Music teachers.

All the students are divided into four houses: Ganga, Kadamba, Hoysala and Chalukya. The first event of the year 2011-12 "Talents Day' on 17th June was a success. Many of the new students were excited to perform various entertaining programmes.

30 Nov & 1 Dec 2010:  Our students bagged a number of prizes in Cluster Level Pratibha Karanji Competition held by Dept. of Public Instruction, South-II, Bangalore. Among students from more than 25 schools, our school students topped in many categories, viz:

18 October 2010:   The school reopened after Dasara Vacations and the classes of II Semester began.

17 October 2010:   Shree Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji offered Bhoomi Pooja for the construction of a new block in Shree Bharathi Vidyalaya Campus. The chairman of the Governing Council Shree U.N. Bhat and other dignitaries were present. The new block will have 18 classrooms and a multipurpose hall; it is estimated to complete by May-2011.

14 Sep 2010:  Shri Prahlad Singh Tipanya, a Sangeet Natak Academy awarded Kabir Singer visited the school. Students, teachers, some parents, and special invitees were enthralled by his soulful rendering of Kabir songs. It was a moment of pride when Prithvi and Pooja of our school sang a Kabir poem and Prahladji himself requested an encore!

Our Students at AKKA:  Ramya of Class 4 and her brother Ramesh, our ex-student, have returned from New Jersey, USA, after participating in AKKA Cultural Festival.

02 Sep 2010  Our Students won II Place in Inter school quiz competition on Social Science held at Vagdevi Vilas School.
